Bai Ming, born in Yugan, Jiangxi Province, a famous contemporary Chinese ceramic artist and painter, is the Director of Department of Ceramic Art in the Academy of Art and Design of Tsinghua University, and Executive Vice Director of Art Museum in the Academy of Art and Design of Tsinghua University. Meanwhile, he is a member of International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) of the UNESCO, Secretary-General of the Ceramic Art Council of China Artists Association (CAA), a member of the CAA, a member of China Oil Painting Society. Besides, Bai Ming is also the Chief Art Inspector of China Ceramic Art Net (www.artcn.net), and an Editor for the journal Chinese Ceramic Artists.

In 2005 and 2009, Bai Ming was invited to America to give lectures.

In 2009, he was invited to work and hold solo exhibitions in France.

In 2010, at the invitation of IAC of UNESCO, Chinese Cultural Center in Paris and Confucius Institute of Poitier University, Bai Ming held the “Oriental Ceramic Story—Bai Ming Ceramic Art Works Exhibition” in Paris. This exhibition was curated by Yin Jinan, The director of the institute of humanities of CAFA, and was the only one that represented China in “Foreign Culture Week” held by Paris government in 2010.

In 2013, the major exhibition“Bai Ming’s Metaphor—Mindfulness ,Mystery ,Philosophy ”was held by Guangdong Art Museum to accompany the first international Asian Art Curator Forum .
In September 2013, the solo exhibition “Dialogue of Civilizations ”projected by Denis Laming who is the French great master of Architecture was held in Gue- Pean Chateau During the "European Heritage Day".

In July 2014, the special exhibition“Bai Ming”holding in Museum Cernuschi was listed as a key project of“the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-France Diplomatic Relations”by French Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Chinese Ministry of culture and Chinese Culture Center.

Since 1996,17 solo exhibitions of Bai Ming have been held in China and overseas. In recent years,several exhibitions of Bai Ming that held in France had a great international influence.  

Bai Ming has published 14 personal works collections and written 28 volumes of 11 books.
